California born and raised Tatiana Alvarez (DJ Tatiana) has become one of the most inspiring DJ’s to emerge in the EDM scene. She was discovered DJ’ing at a young age and quickly put in headlining spots and given residencies at the Foundation Room at House of Blues in Las Vegas and the legendary Feel Good Entertainment parties at Hotel Ibiza in Northern California.
She started the record label, Jook Music and was pressing vinyl and having her releases distributed by Syntax Records out of New York and spent countless hours in the Syntax warehouse listening to tracks alongside some of her biggest influences like Onionz and Sneak. She also worked with George Centeno and Darren Ramirez of Waxworks.
Her DJ style and presence set her apart from others and she became the official DJ for the Spike T.V show called ‘Dew It’, She also appeared on Paul Oakenfold’s show called ‘The Club’ where she was a finalist and was a guest DJ on MTV Canada. She has toured throughout the world from Europe to China, Indonesia, Canada, Mexico and all over the U.S rocking crowds at venues such as Spundae, Godskitchen, Club Ampersand,Tao, Tao Beach,Nikki Beach, Lavo, Marquee,Stadium, Electric Daisy Carnival, Coachella and Burning Man.
A real stand out, she gains attention from her ability to not only move people but bring soul to it. She often jokes that her Cuban roots are to blame. One of her most memorable moments was when she was DJ’ing at the X-Games and Perry Farrel asked her to open for his band that night at the Belly Up in Aspen.
Her music has been featured on XM Radio and Music Choice and she has mixed live for many radio shows including the popular “Powertools” show in L.A.
